The two German start-ups Interpanel GmbH and Intrapore GmbH won in the categories "Scale Track" and "Growth Track" at the international Cleantech Open Global Ideas Challenge in San Francisco and thus prevailed against a high-quality competition from all over the world.
The Cleantech Open Global Ideas Challenge is a contest organized by the Cleantech Open Accelerator within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The finals of the competition took place on the occasion of the Cleantech Week from February 6 to 10, 2017.
The participation was made possible by the German Centre for Productivity and Innovation (RKW Kompetenzzentrum). In its function as a nationwide coordination center for Germany's Global Entrepreneurship Week, it had selected the companies in November 2016 in cooperation with the German StartGreen Award. As part of a workshop in January, the start-ups Interpanel, Intrapore and Hyperion Energy were prepared intensively for the final round.
The companies were very happy about the great success and the opportunity to make initial contacts in the American market. Dr. Julian Bosch (Intrapore): "We had a great time here and received many interesting information about our possibilites on the US market."
Another company from Germany successfully participated in the Cleantech Open Challenge: Kraftwerk, a young company based in Saxony (Germany) and California, has won the competition for the US market.
